Fishy. Probably staged.
1) The first ping is th
e spent casing being ejected, not the target being
hit. Bullet flight time out and back is about 1.3
seconds. To cover 1000 yards would take the targe
t "ping" 2.7 seconds.
2) For
the bullet to come right back at him is kinda hard
to believe. Even a basic 50 cal round would penet
rate plating at 1000 yards. If it didn't, it would
glance off the target. The odds of it maybe hitti
ng a rock or something just right to make it come
right back are too high to consider. But if it did
, it would slow the slug down considerably, which
makes the round trip flight time (about 1.3 second
s) too fast for a 2000 yard trip. Even with the sl
owest published 50 cal muzzle velocity, 2000 yard
s should take it about 2.1 seconds to come back.
3) And the whistling sound it makes as it comes
back is wrong. Should be low to high. The Doppler
effect, remember? Like when a train comes at you?
4) Can anyone believe the notion that after eve
n a glancing blow from a 50 cal round moving that
fast that the ear protectors would only have the p
aint scraped off? I didn't think so...
